The panel discussion at the PRSA|GA's March luncheon revealed:

There are 44 million Hispanics in the U.S., which outnumbers the total population of Canada by more than 10 million.

45% of the U.S. Hispanic population is first generation (aka as Generation 1.0) and have a Spanish language preference.

Hispanic Generation 1.5 came to the U.S. when they were under the age of 10 years and are bi-lingual.

Generations 2.0 and 3.0 (born in the U.S.) are bi-lingual, but have an English language preference.
