Leslie Anderson is President and CEO of the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. In 2009, she was named one of Atlanta Woman Magazine’s Community Heroes for her work in the not for profit sector.

Prior to coming to the Alzheimer’s Association, Leslie served with the American Red Cross for 14 years, in a variety of management positions on the Chapter, State and National Level. During her tenure with the Red Cross, she held a leadership position in the fundraising efforts for several high profile disasters, including Hurricane Katrina.

Leslie holds a BBA and MBA from Mississippi State University. She lives in Canton, Georgia and competes in dog shows, both nationally and internationally, with her champion Miniature Schnauzers and Shetland Sheepdogs.

The Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association was formed in July 2002 when Alzheimer’s Association Chapters across the state merged into a single entity dedicated to serving all of Georgia. The Chapter operates seven regional offices, along with the state office in Atlanta. It is estimated that more than 200,000 Georgians have Alzheimer's and nearly 500,000 others are affected through their roles as caregivers. The Georgia Chapter serves more than 124,000 individuals through programs and services on an annual basis.
