Cindy Bowden is director of Atlanta's Robert C. Williams Paper Museum, which houses the world's largest collection of paper and papermaking artifacts. In addition, she is president of The Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries (GAMG), a state-wide organization of large and small cultural institutions.

Cindy Bowden currently serves as president of the Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries (GAMG). This is a statewide organization dedicated to serving a diverse membership in a way that establishes a responsive network, provides a resource base and promotes professionalism so that Georgia's museum community is strong, effective and proactive. The organization works to stimulate public interest, support and understanding of museums and non-profit galleries of all disciplines. Members foster relationships among themselves in order to exchange information and develop cooperative programs and events. Through workshops, classes, seminars and an annual conference, GAMG encourages growth and improved professional practices of its member museums and galleries. As director of The Robert C. Williams American Museum of Papermaking, Cindy oversees an internationally renowned resource on the history of paper and paper technology. In addition to more than 2,000 books, the Museum features the world's largest collection of over 10,000 watermarks, papers, tools, machines, and manuscripts. The museum offers papermaking workshops for children and adults, group tours, changing exhibits and a gift shop.
