Robert Ward�s career spans more than 35 years, during which he has litigated 500-600 intellectual property cases, has been lead counsel in more than 100 cases and has 79 reported decisions. He has prosecuted more than 300 patent cases and numerous trademarks and has written hundreds of legal opinions and licenses in all technologies. He joined Myers & Kaplan in 2006 as Partner and Director of Litigation.

Mr. Ward earned his bachelor�s degree in chemistry from Northwestern University, where he was a National Merit Scholar, a charter member of the nation�s first Honors Program in Medical Education and the recipient of three National Institute of Health grants. He received his J.D. degree from DePaul University, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review and Senior Member of the Dean�s Advisory Committee. He has taught domestic and foreign patent, trademark and copyright law at DePaul University College of Law, IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law and the University of Washington Law School.

Prior to practicing law, Robert had three years of engineering, research and development, laboratory and field experience in organic chemistry, polymer science, biochemistry, oncology, pharmacology, life sciences and other disciplines. As Director of Litigation for Myers & Kaplan, he provides intellectual property consulting, prosecution, litigation, licensing and portfolio management in all technologies.
