Atlanta BAR-B-Q Festival will Showcase the City's Top BBQ Restaurants
Ever wonder who has the best BBQ in Atlanta? Come to the Atlanta BAR-B-Q Festival and sample food from the city’s top BBQ eateries and decide for yourself. This year’s festival will be held Saturday, October 2nd at Atlantic Station’s special event site (20th Street at Fowler).
Restaurants participating in this year’s festival include BBQ Masters, Fox Brothers BBQ, JD’s BBQ, Jim N Nicks, Shane’s Rib Shack, Williamson Brothers BBQ, Hunter’s Pride and more. Opportunities still exist for additional restaurants to participate. Interested restaurants should e mail [email protected] for more details and information.
Patrons can purchase BBQ Bucks at the festival for $1 each. BBQ BUCK tickets will be used to make food purchases on site. Participating restaurants will offer up sample sized portions as well as full plate sizes for the heartier appetites. Samples will range from $1-$4 BBQ BUCKS.
The Atlanta BAR-B-Q Festival offers patrons the chance to enjoy a world of barbeque by showcasing the many styles, cooking techniques and flavors of BBQ into a 1-day celebration of America’s biggest backyard pastime – BBQ! Whether you enjoy Georgia Chicken, Texas Brisket, Memphis Ribs or Carolina pulled pork, the Atlanta BAR-B-Q Festival is the Crossroads of BAR-B-Q. Come and try them all and you may discover a new favorite!
In addition to the BBQ restaurant showcase, more than 50 professional and backyard teams from across the region will gather to cook up their best “Q” and compete for more than $8,500 in cash prizes and trophies. Enjoy samples of championship style BBQ for just 1 BBQ BUCK per sample at each participating team booths. Try as many as you like and then vote for your favorite in our People’s Choice Competition. Samples are limited and will run out so get there early.
The festival will also offer up plenty of great blues and bluegrass music from the region’s top performers. Kids of all ages will enjoy interactive games and activities.
