"Take Your Feet to Eat" for Buckhead Restaurant Discounts

social-print

The Buckhead Area Transportation Management Association (BATMA) is partnering with area restaurants to encourage Buckhead residents and commuters to walk to lunch during the week of Oct. 25-29. Participants who "Take Their Feet to Eat" will receive special offers from Buckhead area restaurants.

"The inaugural 'Take Your Feet to Eat' Walk Week will show Buckhead residents and commuters how easy it is to forgo their cars in favor of a healthier alternative," said Denise Starling – executive director, BATMA. "Not only is walking better for you physically, it’s also better for the environment. More than 25 percent of all auto trips are less than a mile. Eliminating those trips will go a long way in reducing greenhouse emissions and roadway congestion."

Participating restaurants include Aja, Bucket Shop Café, Buckhead Pizza Co., Craft, Davio’s, Market and Prime. For more information about "Take Your Feet to Eat" Walk Week and to sign the pledge, visit www.facebook.com/buckheadtma.

"We are excited to partner with BATMA and our restaurant neighbors on this important week-long event," says Claude Guillaume – general manager, Davio's. "As one of Buckhead’s newest restaurants, Davio’s applauds BATMA's efforts to improve our area's walkability and air quality, and we look forward to participating in events like 'Take Your Feet to Eat' Walk Week for years to come."
