Karla Sinclair
Vice President, Publisher

Voice: 770-671-0213
E-mail: [email protected]

Karla Sinclair is Daybook Inc.'s publisher. In 2005 she joined Daybook after collaborating on some technology projects with one of Daybooks partners. Daybook was looking for someone to redesign the companys platform and operations so the concept could be more easily established in other markets.

The more they talked, the more apparent it become that Sinclairs responsibilities would include oversight of all operations. She spent her first three months on the job handling Daybook during work hours and giving herself a crash course in journalism, public relations and online marketing at night.

Sinclairs role with Daybook is a perfect marriage of her experience in the technology field and a long-held interest in communications. Her professional career mirrors the emergence of the information technology industry; indeed, one of her early jobs was stuffing circuit boards into the first color micro-computers in 1976 -- at the time it took a month to build two of them and they sold for $30,000 each.

Her career has included professional services management, consulting, and MIS -- which matched her facility with new business processes and emerging technologies.

Actively involved in supporting professional organizations such as the Atlanta Press Club, PRSA|GA, BMA Atlanta and Georgia Center for Nonprofits and nonprofits such as Covenant House Georgia, Sinclair attends many business events each month to interact with Daybook clients and readers. With her unique view into both the local press and PR communities, she is a great resource to Daybook clients and uses reader feedback for continuing improvement at Daybook. She conducts communications seminars several times each year.

Karla is a member of the Atlanta Press Club and the Public Relations Society of America - Georgia Chapter. She also sits on the advisory board of CONNECT magazine.
